4/30/09
This is the last letter!! They have been super busy getting stuff cleaned, turned in, and ready to go. He was told today that his EIC award didn't go through, but wasn't given a reason why. Monday they turn all their equipment in. Tuesday is out processing. He's happy to turn in his M16 (but he really loved it since it's name was Nelly). He says Thanks to everyone for all the letters. He won't be able to write anyone back. They are back to work so that's the end of the letter. The Last Letter!! He's hoping for a call. I received this letter on 5/4/09 and still haven't got a phone call. It's been almost 3 and 1/2 weeks since I've got to talk to him and I've only gotten 3 letters in the last 2 and 1/2 weeks. At least I'll get to see him in 2 days!! I can't wait. The next post will probably be Chuck back, so just wanted to say that it's been fun but I'm glad it's done. Can't wait to have him home, even if it's just for a little while. Who knows when he'll have to leave again.

Yes 2 more days, Chuck I've missed sending you 3 letters aweek, Just dont know what to do with my spare writing time! LOL. I have enjoyed writing to you and keeping you up to date. Nel has done real well keeping everything up and going while you were away, but I also know she cant wait for you to be back, Well we cant wait either, we missed your smiling face. ReplyDeleteWell you did it, Finished with high honors, We all new you would. We were right there cheering you on the whole way. Nel did a great job holding down the fort at home. Hope your little vacation goes well, don't tire yourselfs out to much, We're all tired, but I would'nt have missed seeing you graduated for anything. Mike was upset he missed it, hoping the video turned out so he can see that. Well just wanted you to know that, Cant wait till your back home to see the girls. Love ya MOM M.
ReplyDeleteWell Chuck you made it as we all knew you would. We are so proud of you and the big award you received. Loved spending time with you. So glad you will be back to the same old routine soon. Nel has been a rock and she missed you so much but she was tough as we knew she would be. Hope you two are having a nice vacation now, You both really deserved it. See you soon.
